Material Handler Details :
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $ / hour
- Full Time work available
- Weekend work required
- First Shift (Monday through Sunday from 06 : 00am to 06 : 00pm)
- Helps maintain a safe working environment through good housekeeping and adherence to all environmental health and safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Submits reports on work activities and work-related incidents when required.
- Completes an accurate count of product as it is received. Completes a visual inspection noting any damage to material and reports problems and / or concerns to responsible level(s) of management.
- Scopes and marks incoming product with a receiving ticket number.
- Read appropriate warehouse documentation to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, shipped or stored.
- Ensure all product is safely and correctly palletized prior to shipment or storage.
- Maintain the warehouse in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Responsible for operating the warehouse machinery in a safe manner and reporting any equipment maintenance or problems to your immediate supervisor.
- Supports and actively participates in all Safety and Quality Management activities for this job classification.
- Seeks technical / supervisor expertise to resolve quality related issues.
- Work shifts as prescribed by Management, with overtime as needed.
- Complies with all SOP and local Work Instruction requirements.
Material Handler Qualifications :
- Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of inventory control.
- Data entry skills.
- Previous stock or inventory experience.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
